Qualifications and Experience:

• Associate degree, or a high school diploma plus at least 48 college units required
• Previous experience working in educational or childcare settings is a plus
• Flexibility and willingness to assist students with a variety of needs, including but not limited to feeding and toileting
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to foster a supportive atmosphere for all students
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Adaptability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently as situations demand

Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers by providing instructional and personal assistance to students
• Aid students in daily tasks, including feeding, toileting, and mobility support as needed
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skillsets
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families regarding student progress and needs
