Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU - HOPD

Position Overview Responsible for assessing and preparing patients for surgery, monitoring and caring for patients during the recovery phase, and assisting with inpatient transfers or discharges from the facility. Records include recovery and monitoring of higher acuity patients (e.g., chest tubes, central and arterial lines, multiple IVs, and prolonged ventilator support post‑operatively). Directly cares for medical and surgical observation patients admitted from the emergency department, by direct admission, or post‑surgical status. Receives direction from Providers, Anesthesia providers, Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse. Gives direction to LPN, C.N.A. Education Graduate of RN Nursing Program. Experience Minimum of 2‑4 years of recent hospital experience in Med/Surgical or Critical Care Nursing. Critical Care experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications Current MT RN license, required. BLS, ACLS, and PALS, required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support Basic Life Support Registered Nurse Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Basic nursing principles and procedures. Basic office skills.
