Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner

Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner – Occupational Health Location: Boston, MA (02118) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM; 8-hour days, 40 hours per week, 26‑week assignment. Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,900 – $4,150 per week (1099). Shift Details: No weekends or major holidays required. Qualifications and Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of occupational health or occupational medicine experience. Board certified Nurse Practitioner (NP). Current Massachusetts NP license or eligibility to obtain, including controlled substance license/registration. Inclusive, non‑stigmatizing approach to employee health and clinical care. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and computer skills. Passion for clinical excellence, patient safety, and workplace health. Primary Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat work‑related injuries, illnesses, and exposures in an occupational health setting under a remote medical director. Perform pre‑placement and return‑to‑work screenings and assessments for new hires and employees. Administer vaccines and provide vaccine counseling per occupational health protocols. Provide clinical guidance and post‑exposure management following infectious disease exposures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote employee safety and workplace health initiatives. Manage cases, coordinate follow‑up care, and document clinical encounters in the electronic health record. Demonstrate critical thinking, problem‑solving, conflict resolution, and efficient workload prioritization. Benefits Company‑paid malpractice insurance for 1099 contractors.
