This facility is a large hospital operating as part of an academic health system. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and the infrastructure necessary to support coordinated radiation oncology care delivery across multiple subspecialties. Appropriate resources are in place to accommodate locum tenens clinicians during inpatient day shift coverage periods.

Boston is a walkable city with a concentration of historic neighborhoods, including Beacon Hill, known for its brick sidewalks and townhouses, alongside the Fort Point arts district, where studios and galleries showcase the work of local resident artists. The area offers a range of dining options, from classic New England clam chowder and lobster rolls to diverse cuisines in Chinatown and the Seaport, as well as cultural institutions spanning history, art, and science. Visitors may also take harbor cruises, follow the Freedom Trail, attend live music events in Davis Square, or take a short train trip to nearby Salem.

The clinician will provide inpatient radiation oncology services on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with no call, night, or weekend requirements. Schedule options include four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week, in 4-week full-time increments. Primary responsibilities include seeing inpatient admissions, performing consults, coordinating care, managing inbasket work, and handling administrative tasks such as patient and family communications. All patient documentation must be completed through EPIC EMR, and experience across radiation oncology subspecialties - including thoracic, breast, and GI - is required.
