Oncology Administrator
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field required, Master's preferred. 5-8+ years of experience in healthcare management, with direct experience in oncology or specialty practices.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the clinical delivery of medical and radiation oncology as well as the Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC).
- Is responsible for the financial and budgetary management of a comprehensive oncology center encompassing radiation, medical, and administrative oncology services.
- Is responsible for the financial and budgetary management of the AIC.
- Is responsible for the structure, operations, and management of a clinical drug trials program with the focus on clinical application.
- Provides leadership in the area of appropriate drug utilization and cost effective programs to effectively manage both chemotherapy and other medications.
- Is responsible for oncology and AIC human resources supervision including performance evaluations, counseling, hiring, retention, and education of staff.
- Is responsible for the application of total quality management principles including the ability to write, monitor and implement performance improvement plans.
- Is responsible for the compliance with JCAHO for the Oncology Program and AIC as well as ACS/Commission on Cancer standards and the preparation process that accompanies these survey programs.
- Provides leadership in cancer care program design, development, implementation, and monitoring.
- Provides leadership in the AIC design, development, implementation, and monitoring.
- Is responsible for marketing and program coordination and promotion for oncology and AIC services.
- Is responsible for oncology services product line management as well as integration of AIC services into other product lines.
- Provides leadership in regional cancer program development and management.
- Is responsible for working with physicians in the areas of program integration, regional program services (Oncology) and clinical drug trials (Oncology) and appropriate utilization.
