RN, Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Care Unit (CLCU) - Casual/PRN

Employment Type Part time Shift Day Shift Description Position Purpose: The Cath Lab Care Unit (CLCU) is responsible for the prep and recovery of all Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, and IR Lab patients (both inpatient and outpatient). The department has 12 bays and offers a variety of shift options (8-hour, 9-hour, or 12-hour shifts available). All shifts start at either 6am or 7am. There are no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call with this department. As a Registered Nurse (RN) within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, you will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. The RN collaborates in the spirit of teamwork and is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines of the Organization. What you will do Provide nursing care, ensure an environment of patient safety, promote evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibit professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®. Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence-based practice. Collaborate with patient and family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual and educational components. Accurately communicate pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner. Keep patient/family apprised and updated. Document accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines. Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate from school of nursing. Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. For Casual RN candidates, 2 years of experience is required. All new graduate nurses with less than 1 year of clinical experience are subject to participate and will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
