RN, Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Care Unit (CLCU)

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: The Cath Lab Care Unit (CLCU) is responsible for the prep and recovery of all Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, and IR Lab patients (both inpatient and outpatient). The department has 12 bays and offers 8-, 9- or 12‑hour shifts starting at 6am or 7am. There are no nights, weekends, holidays or on‑call duties. Position Purpose: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide patient care within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, collaborating in a team environment and applying the Nursing Process within the organization's standards, policies, procedures and guidelines. Responsibilities Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence‑based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibits professionalism within the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® model. Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence‑based practice, and collaborates with patients and families to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual and educational components. Accurately communicates pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner, keeping patients/families apprised and updated. Documents accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines. Assumes responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Graduate from a school of nursing. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. For Casual RNs, 2 years of experience is required. All new graduate nurses with less than one (1) year of clinical experience will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
