Press Brake Operator Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Press Brake Operator to set up and operate hydraulic press brake equipment to form metal parts according to customer orders, specifications, and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hydraulic press brake equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and angles.
• Calculate bend locations, tonnage, and appropriate tooling.
• Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Identify missing or incorrect parts and notify management.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Properly stack and handle completed parts to prevent damage and unnecessary handling.
• Keep production schedules and order status up to date.
• Identify equipment issues or out-of-tolerance conditions and report problems to management.
• Follow all company safety procedures and requirements.

Qualifications

Previous press brake experience preferred. Ability to read and understand work instructions, drawings, and measurements. Basic math skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and measurements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to follow safety procedures and management direction.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required. Ability to visually inspect parts and measurements. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing/production environment with moderate noise levels. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated areas.
