Our dedicated team comprises two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Lynchburg, where you will work a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. The collaborative atmosphere within our center encourages teamwork and open communication among staff, making it an ideal setting for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patient goals and needs through thorough evaluations and consultations.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, providing efficient and effective treatment.
• Develop customized treatment plans that incorporate various intervention techniques focused on enhancing mobility and functionality.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver quality care aimed at improving client outcomes.
• Reduce reliance on medications by recommending alternative therapies and promoting preventive measures.
• Design fitness and wellness programs tailored to the unique needs of patients.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Monitor progress and document treatment sessions comprehensively to track patient improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Physio Recovery Center, our primary focus is on treating individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgery rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required.
• A valid Physical Therapist license for the state of Virginia.
• No history of board actions or disciplinary actions on any physical therapy license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in therapeutic exercises.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-focused care with effective communication skills.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits
