Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patient needs, using standardized tests and assessments to determine appropriate therapy goals and methods.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations, physician recommendations, and ongoing assessments.
• Administer therapeutic interventions and exercises, employing techniques such as manual therapy, strength training, and modalities to improve function and alleviate pain.
• Maintain accurate and updated documentation of patient progress, treatment provided, and any modifications to care plans in accordance with clinic protocols.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for managing recovery at home.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to discuss patient progress, treatment outcomes, and identify any adjustments needed in care.
• Participate in community outreach programs and educational sessions to promote physical wellness and the services offered by Canyon Orthopedics Clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Canyon Orthopedics Clinic, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and pediatric cases. Our clientele ranges from athletes seeking to optimize performance to individuals requiring rehabilitative care after accidents or chronic conditions. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a physical therapy setting, focusing on orthopedic therapy preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and word processing software.

Preferred Experience
