Senior Accountant

I am looking for a Senior Accountant to join a school in Middle Tennessee. Why this role? Join a small, tight-knit school community where your work has direct, visible impact Work closely with and be mentored by experienced financial leadership with a strong track record in school finance Play a key role in nonprofit fund accounting, including endowment and restricted fund oversight Long-established institution with a stable, mission-driven culture Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting functions for a not-for-profit educational institution Track and reconcile restricted, temporarily restricted, and unrestricted funds Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records, with a strong emphasis on reviewing and verifying work prior to submission Support endowment accounting and reporting Communicate professionally and confidently with families on billing and payment matters, maintaining firmness and courtesy under pressure Requirements Not-for-profit accounting experience, specifically endowment accounting and fund tracking (restricted/temporarily restricted/unrestricted) Blackbaud accounting software experience preferred School or educational institution accounting experience preferred Demonstrated track record of accuracy with minimal recurring errors Ability to work independently while recognizing when to escape questions on institution-specific accounting treatment #J-18808-Ljbffr Synergy Search
