Project Architect

Unfold Architecture is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Architect with strong design sensibility and a background in residential architecture. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and capable of managing multiple projects at various stages of design and construction. Essential Duties Lead design initiatives on various scales of residential architecture via direct client communication, consultation, and presentation Develop, prepare, and review drawings utilizing Revit and other architectural drafting tools Prepare code compliance evaluations and participate in reviews with governing agencies for zoning laws, fire regulations, building codes, and other ordinances Participate in pre-design services such as feasibility studies, site selection, and cost analysis Ensure design specifications are coordinated with drawings Coordinate information and work on a multi-disciplined team Interact & coordinate with clients and contractors throughout the design, development, and construction phases of a project Report the status of the design process and cost analysis to appropriate individuals Provide strong technical detailing skills in a variety of construction materials and building types Help establish Unfold’s market presence as a boutique, high-end design firm by creating marketing materials, writing blog posts, event planning, and branding opportunities Qualifications 5-10 years of residential architectural experience Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or related work experience Licensed Architect preferred but not required Ability to persuasively and visually communicate ideas through written and verbal communication Knowledge of building codes such as IRC, IBC, and ADA Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Suite Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision Project management experience is a plus Demonstrated track record of successful past employment Demonstrated ability to multi-task and collaborate with various team members across projects at all levels of completion Company Values CREATE THOUGHTFULLY: Approach design holistically, advancing decisions carefully through all stages of the process to ensure cohesive and intentional results THINK PURPOSEFULLY: Every design begins with a deep understanding of the site and its context, allowing each project to be informed by its unique surroundings DESIGN SUSTAINABLY: Committed to elevating the environment at both human and global scales, integrating sustainability into every aspect of work CELEBRATE HUMANITY: Designs reflect the individuality of the people who will live in them, creating spaces that are functional and meaningful PRACTICE DEPENDABLY: Deliver projects respecting real-world constraints, balancing creativity with practicality to meet clients’ needs #J-18808-Ljbffr
