Job Description Georgia Tech Research Institute’s Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory (SEAL) currently seeks a student to join our Sensor Systems Engineering Division starting Fall 2026. The student will assist Research Engineers in various system engineering tasks. The student should be interested in learning about digital signal processing design and simulation, and digital design and development, system engineering, electronic systems integration, and testing. Job Duties Digital signal processing design and simulation with MATLAB Digital system implementation with VHDL and FPGA hardware Testing and characterization of digital, analog, and RF components and systems Developing and executing automated test scripts in NI LabVIEW Analyzing measured test data Assembling and wiring custom modules and chassis Generating schematics and PCB layout Developing C/C++ code Required Minimum Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA Full‑time Intern – Must be registered for full‑time internship credit Part‑time Intern – Must be registered for 6+ credit hours Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more programming languages Task / team leadership experience Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts Familiarity with Linux and open source tools Configuration management tools Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas Hours per Week 20–40 hours per week U.S. Citizenship Requirements Due to our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position are required to be U.S. citizens. Clearance Type Required Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance. Housing and Relocation Housing and relocation assistance are not available for this position.
