Environmental Associate Mid-to-Senior Level

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Environmental Associate (Mid-to-Senior Level) to join their San Francisco, CA office. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in transactional deals focusing on environmental, health, and safety-related matters. This role involves leading environmental due diligence for real estate sales and corporate mergers and acquisitions, as well as advising clients on environmental regulatory issues. Duties Manage matters related to waste disposal from industrial and power-producing applications. Oversee air emissions permitting and water discharge enforcement and permitting. Handle matters involving environmental reporting requirements. Advise clients on environmental regulatory matters and negotiate civil enforcement issues. Requirements 5-7 years of transactional deal experience in environmental, health, and safety matters. Experience in environmental due diligence for real estate and corporate transactions. Active bar membership in Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, Texas, or California. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong leadership and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and client counseling abilities. Proficiency in managing complex environmental matters.
