Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Echo Tech to perform echocardiograms and support cardiac diagnostics within a clinical setting. The position involves operating ultrasound equipment, preparing patients, and collaborating with healthcare providers to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.

Responsibilities:

• Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Prepare and educate patients about procedures, addressing any questions to ease their concerns.
• Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality imaging while ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture precise images of the heart and related structures.
• Analyze images to identify abnormalities, anomalies, or potential pathologies.
• Document all procedures accurately, including patient information, images, and findings.

Qualifications:

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Maintain current ARDMS or CCI registration.
• Possess BLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating ultrasound and echocardiography equipment.
• Exhibit strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
• Prior experience in echocardiography is preferred.
