Job Function :

• Shift: 3x12 Nights 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Review and interpret patient data, including admission information, current resp i r atory care orders, medical history, physical assessments, PFT values, ABG results, and relevant laboratory findings
• Set up, operate , and maintain resp i r atory therapy equipment according to established protocols
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of resp i r atory treatments and document findings in the medical record
• Deliver prescribed therapeutic interventions to ensure adequate oxygenation, airway patency, and proper humidification
• Obtain and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs) in accordance with physician orders and departmental policy
• Follow departmental protocols such as ventilator weaning, ventilator monitoring, cuff pressure checks, and other standardized procedures
• Participate in departmental meetings, in-services, and ongoing education as required

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Active New Jersey Respiratory Care License (required at time of submission)
• Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent RRT experience
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Previous ventilator experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Must be willing to float between ICU, intermediate care, and general units
