Life Safety/Security Systems Designer

Job Overview Selectek is seeking an experienced Life Safety/Security System Designer for a partnering company near Fort Worth, Texas . This firm focuses on large-scale advanced manufacturing projects. Employment Details Employment Type: Contract (Expected 12 months+) Location: Fort Worth, TX Expected Pay Range: $43.07-$60.09 per hour, based on certifications and experience Job Requirements High school graduate or equivalent At least 3-5 years of AutoCAD experience (preferably Revit experience) Systems design experience with Security Surveillance, Access Control, and Intrusion detection systems NICET Security certification ASIS International Advanced Security Worldwide Manufacturer's equipment certifications Must be eligible to work in the United States (Selectek cannot provide sponsorship or visa assistance) Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of systems design experience Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code Knowledge of security systems and manufacturer's equipment Industrial design experience Job Duties Perform computer-aided drafting and design of Life Safety and Security Systems for client advanced facilities. Coordinate delivery of complex packages with multidisciplinary engineers and design leads as part of the Life Safety System delivery team. Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create 3D model spaces in coordination with architects and engineers; from those models design Security Surveillance, Access Control, and Intrusion detection systems. Perform calculations, apply NFPA and ICC codes and other standards to model content, and specify equipment as directed by engineering staff. #J-18808-Ljbffr Selectek
