Vivistim® Paired VNS™ Therapy combines targeted vagus nerve stimulation with functional movement to promote neuroplasticity and improve the brain’s ability to relearn motor skills. Mobia Medical is mobilizing patients, providers, and care partners to establish a better way forward in stroke care. About the role As a Therapy Development Specialist at Mobia, you will play a key role in supporting the adoption and clinical integration of the Vivistim® Paired VNS™ System, a groundbreaking neurostimulation therapy for stroke rehabilitation. This position involves working closely with healthcare professionals—such as physicians, therapists, and rehabilitation teams—to educate and train them on the effective use of the Vivistim System. You will serve as a clinical expert, guiding therapy implementation, monitoring patient progress, and providing on‑site and remote support to ensure optimal outcomes. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of neurorehabilitation or medical device environments, and a passion for improving the lives of stroke survivors. Ideal candidates will have experience in clinical education, therapy coordination, or medical device support, and be motivated by the opportunity to contribute to meaningful advancements in patient care. What you’ll do In partnership with the territory manager, develop territory plans and strategies for creating new avenues for patients to gain access to prescribing Vivistim® accounts with a primary focus on rehabilitation facilities and key decision makers. Achieve and preferably exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual Vivistim® implant and sales goals through a keen focus on UE‑Dx evaluations and paired VNS therapy of potential Vivistim candidates. Manage and expand rehabilitation facilities in the assigned geography demonstrated by preparing a comprehensive business plan that ensures job responsibilities are achieved. Support surgical implanting sites while in the operating suite. Exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer/patient satisfaction. Provide weekly sales forecasting utilizing available tools and guidance provided by the organization. Deliver in‑depth and impactful product presentations for patients, accounts and clinicians. Communicate the Vivistim message to healthcare partners, patients, and key individuals at therapy sites, hospitals, and partnering facilities. Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership. Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful patient/customer access and therapy adoption. Manage customer relationships and provide leadership in advancing strategic opportunities. Establish yourself as the Vivistim® Paired‑VNS™ Patient Expert for the assigned geography. Constantly drive clinical excellence and possess a “sense of urgency” in goal attainment. Demonstrate outstanding product, technical, and clinical expertise. Complete all administrative requirements on time and accurately. Maintain company standards involving ethical and moral character while professionally representing the company. Qualifications Degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy required (OT, PT, COTA, or PTA). Neuro‑focused training background is strongly preferred. Minimum of 3‑5 years of documented, successful clinical/sales experience with supportive results. Experience selling directly to the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R/Physiatry), Neurosurgery, and OT/PT physician communities preferred. Experience representing and launching a revolutionary, pioneering, and disruptive technology strongly preferred. Experience educating and advocating for stroke rehabilitation patients. Experience calling on hospitals and rehabilitation facilities strongly preferred. Solid process orientation demonstrated through resource management/allocation experience and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Intellectual, self‑starter and independent thinker, with the aptitude to work autonomously. Experience utilizing Salesforce or similar CRM. Robust interpersonal skills, with evidence of teamwork and collaboration. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with customers and patients at all levels. Creative thinker and appropriate risk taker. Understand and ability to operate within appropriate legal and regulatory guidelines. Ability to influence decision makers in a large and complex environment. Capable of selling new solutions in mature markets. Work well in a cross‑matrix organization. Occupational Therapy training/background is ideal. The base compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, with additional earning potential of $50,000 through a commission‑based incentive plan. $150,000 OTE.
