Job Description
The Sous Chef plays a vital role in managing and supporting a small kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager, the Sous Chef oversees food preparation, menu planning, and ensures compliance with health and safety standards while maintaining high-quality food presentation and efficient kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food and assist with menu planning
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate team efforts
- Manage inventory and order supplies
- Train and develop kitchen staff
- Ensure quality control and food presentation standards
- Maintain health and safety compliance
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in culinary arts
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in food preparation and kitchen management
- Experience in menu planning and inventory control
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Strong team leadership and communication skills
- Effective time management
- Creativity in culinary arts
