The ideal candidate will be formally trained in electromechanical skills, passionate about high-tech manufacturing, and excited to work with high-performance systems involving problem-solving and teamwork. Previous experience with cutting lasers, CNC punches, and TRUMPF or Salvagnini operating systems is a plus. Position Summary

First Shift Position - Flexible Hours: 5:00 AM-1:00 PM, 6:00 AM-2:00 PM, or 7:00 AM-3:00 PM.

Perform routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs on computer-controlled and traditional metalworking equipment used in the company's production facilities. Activities are focused on maximizing production capacity, minimizing production delays, and maintaining safe and reliable machine operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Possess and actively apply working knowledge of computers, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, laser, and robotic basic operating principles, including an understanding of control strategies and theories of operation.

2. Diagnose malfunctions and repair breakdowns involving electrical components, laser systems, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic assemblies, including equipment operating under PLC automation control.

3. Seek advanced technical support from original equipment manufacturers when necessary. Communicate technical information effectively and maintain professional relationships that reflect positively on the company.

4. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Identify unusual wear patterns, potential premature failures, and safety concerns, and report them to the appropriate supervisor.

5. Follow all safety initiatives, including energy isolation, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

6. Use a wide variety of tools and testing equipment. Possess knowledge of mobile equipment and power tools or demonstrate a strong willingness to learn.

7. Prioritize assigned work to ensure timely completion with minimal supervision.

8. Maintain and update technical knowledge through manuals, vendor meetings, off-site training, and discussions with internal staff.

9. Identify machine-related safety hazards and communicate them to supervisors for corrective action.

10. Maintain accurate machine records and maintenance histories.

11. Provide technical direction to shop personnel during repairs.

12. Contribute to team efforts to ensure consistent product quality and effective communication.

13. Identify and support opportunities to improve efficiency, increase productivity, and reduce costs.

14. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

15. Take ownership of company commitments and fulfill responsibilities with pride and urgency.

Education/Experience

• Associate degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or four to six years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Training

• Electromechanical degree or Maintenance Technician apprenticeship certificate.
