Job Description Line Cook The EDM Mission Statement: To serve our community freshly baked breads, exquisite patisseries, delectable sandwiches, rich coffee, and fine wine, while delivering an authentic European neighborhood market experience with exceptional and friendly service. Job Description Prepare line to be welcoming and meet customer needs with timely and friendly service. Properly prepares and presents all food based on company specifications. Upholds appearance, product and hygienic standards. Properly handles and maintains all equipment. Consistently performs tasks with a pleasant disposition. Ensure food is handled safely based on SERVE SAFE Standards. Responsible for making and completing orders, answering questions about the menu and ingredients, handles staff and customer concerns in a polite and efficient manner. Accountable for final preparation and presentation of all menu items and food safety. Responsibilities Prepare line to be welcoming and meet customer needs with timely and friendly service Proper preparation and presentation of all food based on training and changing menu needs Uphold appearance, product and hygienic standards Maintain cleanliness from open to close. Mise en place. Properly handle and maintain all equipment Consistently perform tasks with a pleasant disposition while in the presence of staff and patrons Ensure food is handled safety based on SERVE SAFE standards Respond to making and completing orders, answering questions about the menu and ingredients, handle staff or customer concerns in a polite and efficient manner Qualifications 1-2 years kitchen experience High school diploma or GED Retail, hospitality and/or customer service experience preferred (Attitude trumps experience) Must be able to multi-task Ability to read and speak English Basic mathematical skills Flexible availability a must (weekends and evenings required) Benefits Competitive pay Daily employee meal and shift beverages 1 week paid vacation after 1 year Join an awesome team of passionate culinary and beverage professionals at The Everyday Market!
