Overview The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care using nursing processes, technology, and resources within the institution’s philosophy. We offer a $10,000 sign‑on bonus and relocation incentives: $5,000 for moves greater than 100 miles and $2,500 for moves greater than 50 miles for nurses with one or more year of experience. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within the last year (American Heart Association) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within the last year (American Heart Association) Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the last 30 days (American Heart Association) Associate’s Degree in Nursing No prior nursing work experience required Responsibilities Perform all duties required by the unit within the scope of service. Implement procedures and theories related to specific practice areas. Maintain up‑to‑date, accurate documentation of nursing care. Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop plans of care based on unit standards and patient/family needs. Implement and modify plans of care with nursing interventions and patient care procedures. Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting safety hazards and incidents. Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and families to resolve issues and promote a healing environment. Provide constructive feedback to peers and participate in professional development activities. Identify learning needs and pursue appropriate solutions. Fulfill departmental competency requirements. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $38.93 to $63.35 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and other factors.
