Neighborhood Veterinary Center is looking for an experienced, friendly, and dependable Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team.

Our receptionist is much more than the person who answers the phone. You are the first and last impression our clients have of our hospital and an important part of creating a welcoming, organized, and compassionate experience for pets and their owners.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and animals, communicates professionally, takes initiative, and can stay organized in a busy veterinary environment.

What You'll Do:

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will help keep our front desk and daily client experience running smoothly. Responsibilities include:

• Warmly greet clients and their pets upon arrival
• Check clients in and out efficiently and accurately
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Communicate with clients regarding appointments, services, and general hospital information
• Assist clients with questions and direct medical questions to the appropriate veterinary team member
• Maintain accurate client and patient information
• Process payments and assist with front-desk transactions
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
• Communicate and work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and other team members
• Handle multiple priorities while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
• Help create a compassionate and positive experience for every client and patient

What We're Looking For: Previous veterinary receptionist experience is required.

The ideal candidate will also have:

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• A professional, friendly, and welcoming personality
• Dependability and a strong work ethic
• Confidence communicating with clients both in person and over the phone
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy or stressful situations
• Comfortable working with computers, scheduling programs, and veterinary software
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow with the practice
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred
