Details Short-term acute care hospital setting with 431 staffed beds at a Level II Trauma Center Adult respiratory therapy unit with float requirements to the ER and Adult ICU Stepdown units Experience with airway management, medication administration, ABGs, O2 therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulizers Aerosol, bronchial hygiene, and lung inflation therapies, as well as arterial blood gas draw and analysis, and CPAP/BiPAP implementation and management Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 Every other weekend required, plus every other holiday On-call required: 3 shifts per 6-week scheduling period Block scheduling is not available Charting via Epic Wine-colored scrubs required Requirements Current RRT credential (preferred; CRTT required at minimum) Active BLS certification required ACLS certification required; candidates may begin the assignment with ACLS pending, provided it is obtained within 90 days of start date Virginia (VA) state license required — a compact or national license alone is not accepted; proof of VA license application may be submitted along with another state license if the VA license is pending License required if applicable Minimum experience required in adult critical care, ER, and community hospital settings NICU, ED, and adult ICU experience preferred, though experience in all areas is not required Level II Trauma Center experience preferred Ability to work night shifts and provide a range of respiratory therapy modalities Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted Time-off requests are accommodated at the manager's discretion Candidate is expected to attend monthly department meetings when scheduled; if not working, candidate must review meeting minutes and send written acknowledgment to management 13-week contract American Traveler Job ID #P-724951.
