Location: Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid)

Pay: $19.50/hour

Schedule: Monday & Friday Remote | Tuesday-Thursday In Office

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Specialist to join a growing team in Jacksonville. This hybrid opportunity supports a large retail business by ensuring clients are billed accurately and on time. This position is temporary to start, with the possibility of becoming permanent as the organization continues to evolve.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process accurate client invoices in a timely manner.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manipulate data and create spreadsheets for upload into Oracle.
• Create work orders based on billing information received from Business Managers through SharePoint and email.
• Research and reconcile customer payments to ensure invoices are properly applied.
• Investigate outstanding balances and request customer refunds when appropriate.
• Provide billing and payment research support to internal departments, including field employees, Corporate Analysts, and Revenue Management.
• Maintain billing templates and master data to ensure client and vendor information remains accurate.
• Manage event setup, invoicing, and closeout while ensuring all revenue and expenses are complete before finalizing events.
• Generate monthly billing and event reports.
• Assist with additional accounting and billing-related projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate degree or additional business coursework preferred.
• At least 1+ year of professional office, administrative, accounting, finance, billing, or related experience.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including working with spreadsheets, sorting, filtering, formulas, and data manipulation.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly; Oracle experience is a plus but not required.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
