Mental Health Technician / Recovery Coach

Location: South Salem, NY

Our organization is dedicated to saving lives while empowering individuals to achieve their healthiest selves.

We operate a residential treatment program specifically designed for adolescents dealing with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction.

At our facility, we guide adolescents and their families on the journey to complete recovery, equipping each young person with the tools to face life's challenges without the burden of an eating disorder. We offer compassion, education, and support to families, recognizing them as essential partners in the recovery process. Our goal is to help each adolescent replace their eating disorder with healthy coping strategies and a profound understanding of how to live authentically.

We are currently looking for a Part-Time Mental Health Technician / Recovery Coach to become a part of our dedicated team.

Available Shifts:

• Friday: 9:30 PM - 9:00 AM
• Thursday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• Thursday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Compensation: $17 - $22 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively support clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Deliver assistance and interventions aligned with each client’s treatment plan.
• Encourage clients to form healthy and appropriate relationships with peers and staff.
• Help with food preparation and setup; model and supervise client meals and snacks.
• Participate in therapeutic groups and develop essential skills to foster clinical growth.
• Conduct rounds and provide observations of client behavior.
• Occasionally transport clients off-site for appointments and activities.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education; a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health environment is highly desirable (and may be required in certain states).
• A valid state-issued Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and client relations skills; a service-oriented mindset; adaptability; and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
