Staff Accountant

Responsibilities Our Staff Accountants are experts at the application of accounting principles. To be considered as a candidate you must show above average proficiency in accounting procedures and have a strong accounting knowledge base. Completion of account reconciliations Perform bank reconciliations Preparation and posting of general journal entries Perform month-end close Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Prepare month end and year end financials Prepare packages to be sent to CPAs for tax returns Prepare/Assist financial analysis for budgets and financials Miscellaneous and special projects as needed and assigned Qualifications: Strong communication skills with a strong attention to detail Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work independently as well as with a team Proficiency with Microsoft Excel 10-key and typing skills Highly organized and sensitive to confidentiality Experience & Education: Two years of formal college level accounting education or Accounting Degree preferred Prior experience in the processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries and general ledger transactions is a plus.
