Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Accounting Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day accounting operations of a growing insurance agency. The role is responsible for supervising AP/AR activities, reviewing agency billing accounting operations, overseeing commission revenue reporting and reconciliations, and managing a small accounting support team, including external and overseas resources. This is a part‑time position; 10‑15 hours per week during normal business hours, Monday–Friday. Build new relationships and maintain existing relationships with Acrisure personnel and other Acrisure Partners. Follow up on projects and team assignments and hold others accountable for their internal deadlines and administrative responsibilities. Stay up‑to‑date and compliant with industry regulations and best practices. Implement and maintain carrier payables policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company guidelines. Perform quality assurance reviews of team members’ compliance with Acrisure’s accounting policies and procedures. Identify potential financial risks and raise these issues, along with suggested solutions, to the People Leader. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment. Prepare monthly worksheets to calculate premium payable to sureties (Premiums Payable Worksheet). Calculate and post journal entries for reconciliation to the GL monthly. Prepare monthly financial reports (Trial Balance, GL and others as requested) for the Home Office. Reconcile bank statements, set up wires and ACHs, and maintain banking relationships (Acrisure Treasury). Prepare renewal reports, supervise workload for the renewal team. Prepare monthly bond list report and monthly management reports for internal distribution and primary surety (carrier). Review increase/decrease invoices and releases/cancellations as needed. Prepare and review complex renewals. Report and maintain payroll, PTO records, personnel files. Primary liaison with the parent company payroll department and with employees. Requirements 5+ years of accounting experience with supervisory responsibility. Strong knowledge of AP, AR, reconciliations, and revenue reporting. Insurance agency accounting experience preferred. Experience coordinating with carriers to resolve accounting and commission discrepancies. Ability to supervise, mentor, and support accounting staff and consultants. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Administrative and process improvement experience. Familiarity with AI and automation tools to modernise accounting and back‑office processes and improve operational efficiency. Education / Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience is preferred. Minimum (4) four years of experience in accounting, including receivable and payable experience. Insurance brokerage/related industry accounting background preferred. Excellent knowledge of both operational and financial accounting. A working knowledge of insurance‑based management systems is highly desired. Pay Details The base compensation range for this position is $50 – $70.
