Consultant, Business Consulting The Consultant, Business Consulting role will lead communication needs for assigned projects across the NF Shared Portfolio, focusing on driving execution of communication strategies while creating and managing tactics in support of business outcomes. Individuals should possess the ability to tell stories across large, complex projects with multiple audiences, ultimately driving alignment and helping teams adopt change effectively. Primary Responsibilities Create, develop, and execute effective communication strategies and tactics in support of business needs and project outcomes to support change management. Ensure and lead the communication to and incorporation of feedback from customers on proposed, developing, and completed projects and initiatives. Drive alignment and coordination by acting as a liaison between project and business team and communicate status to multiple stakeholders. Measure effectiveness of communication efforts against project objectives and deliverables. Navigates ambiguity and builds impactful communication plans for all projects and pivotal initiatives. Focus on driving alignment, promoting project awareness, successful achievement of capability adoption, and generating overall support for portfolio activities. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Key Responsibilities (Business Transformation Focus) Partner with senior leaders to transform their businesses through the strategic application of people, processes, and technology. Participate in the planning process by identifying complexities, dependencies, and duplications. Demonstrate expertise in leading business process analysis/design, organizational analysis, needs assessments, and cost/benefit analysis to align solutions with business strategies. Consult with functional groups within Nationwide Technology and internal business clients to develop short- and long-term business transformation plans. Serve as process management contributor and consultant between business customers and systems area for development and implementation of business processes and procedures. Communicate to customers, management, and external sources, identifying critical elements of a business process that need to be managed. Define criteria of performance success and report performance in a cohesive manner. Participate in analysis and design of organizational structures, roles, responsibilities, governance, staffing, and sourcing to support business goals and strategy. Execute business unit level change, lead training of customers on business, technological, societal, and environmental trends, and facilitate evaluation of new and existing products, procedures, and workflow needs. Evaluate new technological developments and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements. Develop compelling business cases, including gaining senior management input, to accomplish business objectives. Identify, assess, and mitigate business risks associated with current operating models and desired target state operating models. Provide direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff and monitor project schedules and costs. Develop project plans, work breakdown structures, and desired outcomes for overall solution delivery. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Eight plus years of dynamic experience in planning, designing, and implementing company-wide business transformation initiatives. Extensive experience in functional, process, information, and data modeling, data management and warehousing, and applications integration. In-depth experience with process redesign methods and tools; three years of experience in project management preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of standards, methodologies, and frameworks, business process management and technology, and the system development life cycle. Sound knowledge of a variety of tools, concepts, and techniques; understanding of new technologies and developments in the technology industry. Knowledge of project management concepts and techniques; ability to lead large or sophisticated projects. Effective communication skills and ability to deal with ambiguity, remove roadblocks, and act as a primary liaison between team members and business. Leadership skills, ability to collaborate, motivate others, work in a collaborative environment, recognize achievements while driving results. Organizational savvy and storytelling ability to engage and get alignment from a wide range of audiences. Comfortable juggling multiple, competing priorities simultaneously; passionate about continuous improvement of communication strategies and tactics. Writing sample may be required as part of application. Hybrid in-office schedule out of Columbus, OH (2‑3 days per week). Job Conditions Exempt (Not eligible) for overtime.
