In this role, you will help clients maintain compliance, secure permits, and achieve operational flexibilitywhilesupportingresponsiblegrowth.Yourexpertisewilldirectlyinfluenceprojectsuccess,strengthenclientpartnerships,andcontributetoinnovativeenvironmentalsolutionsacrossthetechnologysector.WhatYourImpactIs:Leadcomplexairpermitting,complianceassurance,andregulatorystrategyinitiativesfortechnologyanddatacenterclients.Serveasatrustedadvisoronairqualitycomplianceandpermittingrequirements.Buildlong-termclientrelationshipsthatgeneraterepeatbusinessandsupportgrowthofERM'sAirQualitypractice.Developpracticalpermittingandcompliancestrategiesthathelpclientsachievetheiroperationalobjectives.Mentor andguideprojectteamsacrossmultipleoffices.Supportbusinessdevelopmenteffortsthroughproposalpreparationandstrategicclientengagement.CollaboratewithERM'snationalairqualitynetworktosharetechnicalexpertiseandbestpractices.Deliverhigh-qualitytechnicalsolutionsthathelpclientssuccessfullynavigatecomplexenvironmentalregulations.WhatYou'llBring:RequiredBachelor'sorMaster'sdegreeinchemical,environmental,ormechanicalengineering,orrelateddiscipline,orequivalentexperience.4+yearsofairqualitycomplianceandpermittingexperience,includingmanagingandimplementingCleanAirActprogramssuchasTitleV,NewSourceReview,andMACT.Effectivemanagementofmultipleairqualityprojectsandbuildingclientrelationshipsthatresultinrepeatbusiness.Experienceworkingwithavarietyofpermittingagenciesacrossdifferentstatesandlocalities.Excellentcommunication,interpersonalandanalyticalskills;experiencewritingcomprehensivetechnicalreports.Driver'sLicenseRequired:Thispositionrequiresavaliddriver'slicenseand/ortheabilitytooperateacompanyvehicleduetothenatureofjobduties,whichincludefrequenttraveltovariousclientlocationsacrossalargegeographicalarea.Thispositionisnoteligibleforimmigrationsponsorship.PreferredTechnologysectorexperience.Specificexperiencesupportingdatacentersites.KeyResponsibilities:Manage strategic air permitting evaluations, permit applications andcomplianceassuranceprogramsforavarietyofdatacenterandtechnologyclientswithcomplextechnical/regulatoryissues.Workcloselywithclientsanddevelopstrongrelationshipstounderstandspecificprocessesanddevelopapermittingandcompliancestrategytohelpclientsmaintainmaximumoperatingflexibility.Achieveclientexpectationsforscope,budget,schedule,andquality.Serve as a technical resource on air quality regulatorycomplianceandpermittingprograms,includingregulatoryanalysesoffacilityoperations;majorandminorsourceairpermitapplicationsunderNSR,PSD,TitleV,andstate-levelregulations;andNESHAPMACTcomplianceprograms.Interactwithlocalregulatorstostewardpermitapplicationreviewandissuance.BuildandmaintainclientrelationshipsthatgeneraterepeatbusinesstogrowtheAirQualityservicearea.Preparetechnicalproposalsandparticipateinbusinessdevelopmentwithexistingclientsandidentifiedleads.CapitalizeonexistingclientrelationshipstoexpandERM'sprofileandmarketsharethroughacombinationofexcellenceintechnicaldeliveryandbusinessdevelopment.Effectivelymanageprojectteams,includingacrossmultipleERMoffices,byappropriatelydelegatingprojectassignmentsandmentoringjuniorstaff.For the Managing Consultant, Environmental Air Quality position, the anticipated annual base pay is $103,900–$132,600 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range.
