Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized pre-operative nursing care to patients preparing for surgery, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the pre-op process. Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate patient care and adhere to all clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and document medical history prior to surgery.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes and ensuring understanding.
• Administer medications and interventions as directed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes promptly.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure a safe pre-op environment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate smooth patient transitions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with at least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Demonstrate recent pre-op or specialty nursing experience.
• Possess current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Show proficiency in perioperative protocols and patient assessment.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
