Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Oncology) | Olympia, Washington. Start date: 06/30/2026. Travel assignment for weeks. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Weekly pay: $1,701–$1,742. Guaranteed hours: none. Setting: short-term acute care hospital. Unit serves adult oncology patients on a Medical / Medical-Telemetry floor with ~26 beds, requiring close telemetry monitoring and interdisciplinary collaboration.

- Weekend shifts: 4 per month or every other weekend

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult oncology patients on a Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, manage IV access, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; respond to rapid responses and codes; assist with mobility and patient education
- Implement isolation precautions and PPE; maintain infection control practices
- Document care in EPIC; coordinate admissions, discharges, and referrals with unit staff; liaise with social work and transport as needed
- Coordinate with support services (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Work) to ensure timely diagnostics and therapies

Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in Washington; pending licenses not accepted
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; oncology experience required
- Preferred: 3+ years Med/Surg; prior charge experience
- BLS certification required; OCN preferred
- EPIC charting experience; telemetry monitoring; ability to care for adult oncology patients on Med/Surg
- Availability for 3x12 Night shifts and weekend shifts; ability to float within pod; first-time travelers accepted
- Orientation: 24 hours; pre-start mandatory modules (~16 hours) via Workramp
