Youth Development Supervisor

Pay Grade 10 Workday & Hours 40 hours a week. 10 hour days (Day & Night shifts). Wednesday 1PM-11PM, 9PM-7AM Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Benefits Eligible after 60 days of employment: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, EAP Program, Retirement APERS (Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System) Vacation Eligibility: 84 hours up to 3 years after 6 months of employment Sick hours: 112 hours up to 3 years after 90 days of employment 12 Holidays a year + Employee Birthday (13 total) Job Summary The Youth Development Supervisor, under the guidance and direction of the Staff Development Supervisor serves the County by efficiently supervising and maintaining discipline, and meeting the needs of the residents in accordance with federal and state law. Working effectively with all divisions and departments within the Juvenile Detention Center, Juvenile Courts, Public Defenders, Prosecuting Attorneys, law enforcement agencies, other counties and the public. Must meet minimum requirements under state law for Juvenile Detention Standards Training (40 hours of training). Qualifications Must pass a criminal background check, obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances where required. This position is subject to pre-employment and reasonable suspicion testing and, if a promotional position, the candidate must pass an assignment drug test.
