Operating Room Registered Nurse – Level 4

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift (Days/Evenings/Nights) | On-call, callback, floating, holidays, and weekends per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma
• Perform both scrub and circulator roles as required by case and unit needs
• Support a Level 1 Trauma Center environment, responding to emergent and complex surgical cases
• Assist with robotic-assisted surgical procedures utilizing da Vinci robotic systems across multiple service lines
• Participate in transplant program cases including liver, kidney, and heart procedures
• Adhere to on-call, callback, floating, holiday, and weekend scheduling requirements per unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse license (NY state license only)
• Minimum of two (2) years of operating room experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Demonstrated ability to both scrub and circulate
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Telemetry experience (highly desired)
• Experience with specialty cases including transplants, plastics, and reconstructive surgery
• Craniotomy experience and/or strong orthopedic surgical background
