Job Details Job ID: 5505518 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: Jan 21, 2026 5:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Job Description The Excel Tutoring program was launched during the 2023‑2024 school year to provide additional, after‑school academic support to students who need it most. Now in its third year, the program supports hundreds of students across our elementary and upper schools. The program is an in‑person, high‑impact tutoring program that uses intensive, relationship‑based, personalized instruction to accelerate learning for students performing two or more grade levels below expectations. There are two, 10‑week sessions each school year. Site Coordinators may work one or two sessions and help gather children, hand out snacks, document sessions for program newsletters, connect with caregivers, and ensure smooth dismissal procedures. Session Information 2025‑2026 Session Information: Session I: 10/6/25–12/19/25 Staff pre‑learning week and preparation of 9/29 Session II: 2/9/26–5/8/26 Staff pre‑learning and preparation week of 2/2/26 Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, from school dismissal until late bus Responsibilities Ensure student safety during arrival and dismissal procedures Maintain student and staff attendance records Build relationships with students during tutoring Share regular program updates with families and caregivers Attend professional learning sessions as applicable Provide substitute coverage when tutors are absent, as needed (paid at lead teacher rate) Minimum Requirements Experience working with school‑aged children in an urban setting Strong organizational and classroom management skills Ability to collaborate with colleagues in support of students Priority will be given to regularly appointed staff from Cambridge Public School District Contract Information Length of Contract: February 2, 2026 to May 29, 2026 Contract Amount: Not exceed $5,061.70 Hourly Rate: Dependent upon collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate.
