Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager on commercial/industrial electrical construction projects from preconstruction to finish. The Assistant PM will provide support in the areas of safety, planning, scheduling, cost monitoring, customer reporting, estimating, change orders, and bid development.

Description:

  • Reads and interprets blueprints, inspection reports, specifications, etc.
  • Shop drawing review, submittal, and coordination
  • Labor and material tracking
  • Assist with Project budgeting and scheduling
  • Ensure material schedule is accurately maintained, and materials are provided to job site as needed
  • Punch list management
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs if needed
  • Assist the PM in managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Coordinates with Superintendent to ensure project completion to specifications
  • Ability to work with sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to travel to site specific projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related discipline, or 2+ years' electrical project experience
  • Experience with Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Procore software preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with project scheduling
  • AutoCAD Experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work with within a team, with upper management, and with subordinates
  • Strong client relations skills are a must to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Effective problem-solving skills, and ability to make time sensitive decisions
