Job Title - RN (Medical Surgical)
Location: Goldsboro, NC | UNC Health Wayne – 6th Floor
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3 days/week | 36 hours/week
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Pay: $33.00–$54.45/hour + shift differentials

Position Summary
UNC Health Wayne is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical RN to provide safe, quality patient care on a 48-bed adult MedSurg unit. The nurse will assess patients, coordinate care, administer treatments, educate patients/families, and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of current MedSurg experience required
• Charge Nurse experience highly preferred
• Active NC RN License
• Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN required; BSN preferred
• BLS, NIHSS, and CPI-A required
  

Unit Details

• 48-bed adult MedSurg unit
• Approximately 1:6 patient ratio
• 3–4 admissions per day
• Opportunities for growth as Charge Nurse, Preceptor, and through the Clinical Ladder
  

Additional Benefits

• Night differential: $6/hour
• Weekend differential: $10/hour
• Relocation assistance up to $10,000 with a 2-year commitment
• Night RN retention incentive up to $35,000 over 4 years
