Job Summary

Are you a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, building client relationships, and making a visible impact? We are seeking a Commercial Service Manager to serve as the primary field contact for commercial property maintenance and repair services. This role combines hands-on maintenance work, property inspections, client relationship management, service coordination, and business development support. The ideal candidate is resourceful, customer-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable balancing field work with client communication to ensure commercial properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

This position is primarily over the road, driving in a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial property maintenance, repairs, and site improvement projects, including general building, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, concrete, and exterior maintenance work.
• Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for preventative or corrective services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted point of contact for service needs and recommendations.
• Coordinate service delivery with operations teams, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Identify additional service opportunities and support proposal and estimate development for clients.
• Respond to urgent service requests, client escalations, emergency repairs, and special projects as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, photographs, and job documentation using company systems.
• Safely operate company vehicles, tools, equipment, and machinery while following all safety procedures.
• Communicate issues, delays, hazards, and client concerns promptly to internal teams and management.
• Ensure a professional appearance, high-quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service at all client sites.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, property services, or a similar hands-on field role preferred.
• Experience working directly with commercial clients, property managers, or facility managers preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, concrete, or masonry repairs.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
• Ability to inspect properties, troubleshoot issues, and recommend effective solutions.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with mobile technology and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work a field-based schedule, including occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, or emergency response assignments as needed.
