A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) who can provide expert Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) support. This in-person role entails providing up to 2 hours per week of direct and indirect assistive technology services to a high school student, specifically focusing on eye gaze with an Accent device. Your unique skill set will empower both the student and their educational team, ensuring that programming, calibration, and ongoing device maintenance run smoothly.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Texas SLP license verified through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) with supervised hours logged
• Previous experience supporting students in a school setting
• Demonstrated proficiency with AAC systems, including experience with eye gaze and Accent devices (implementation, programming, calibration, maintenance)
• History of providing training or support to educational teams is highly desirable
• Ability to deliver instruction and document services effectively

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver in-person SLP services focused on the student’s AAC needs at the assigned high school campus
• Program, calibrate, and maintain the student’s Accent device
• Provide indirect support to the educational team to enhance student outcomes
• Monitor and report student progress, collaborating closely with staff and family
• Coordinate schedules to ensure consistency and maximize student learning time
