Make an impact supporting students with unique learning needs by applying your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) for a contracted opportunity. This position focuses on providing specialized AT (Assistive Technology) speech therapy services to a high school student requiring eye gaze communication with an Accent device. Work alongside educators and support staff to ensure this student’s communication access sets the stage for academic success.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathology license (issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (if hours completed)
• Demonstrated experience with assistive technology, specifically eye gaze systems such as the Accent device, including programming, calibration, and routine maintenance
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Outstanding collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
• Reference verification as required for educational roles

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver in-person assessment, intervention, and consultative services for one high school student
• Program, calibrate, and maintain Accent device to support optimal student communication
• Train and collaborate with the educational team to promote device integration and communication strategies
• Provide both direct and indirect AT support services for up to two hours per week
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation per school and district protocols
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP planning as needed
