Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting a high school student with advanced assistive technology needs. As a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) with experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication, you’ll work closely with one individual as well as the student’s educational team, focusing on eye gaze with an Accent device. Your expertise in programming, calibration, and maintenance will enable this student to access their education in new ways.

Assignment Details:

• Provide direct, in-person speech therapy and AT support at a local high school.
• Serve as a specialist resource for one student, coordinating indirect AT guidance for staff and team members.
• Schedule: Up to 2 hours per week, through the end of the school year (May 26, 2027).
• Support both direct intervention and hands-on technical aspects, plus collaboration to ensure the student’s success.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology license (by the Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation).
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (for those with completed clinical fellowship hours).
• Documented professional references.
• Proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), specifically using eye gaze systems and Accent devices.
• Experience working with educational teams, providing both direct therapy and technology training/support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language and AAC interventions in-person.
• Manage programming, calibration, and troubleshooting of the Accent device.
• Offer consultation and training to school staff supporting the student.
• Maintain documentation of interventions and device support.
• Collaborate in developing and refining communication strategies.
