What You’ll Bring:

• Active Texas SLP license (issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA CCC), if hours are logged
• Experience in school-based speech therapy, preferably with high school-aged students
• Advanced proficiency with AAC, specifically eye gaze systems and Accent devices (programming, calibration, maintenance)
• Familiarity with providing both direct and indirect assistive technology support within an educational setting
• Strong interpersonal, consulting, and collaboration abilities with educational staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver up to 2 hours per week of in-person SLP and assistive technology support at a single high school campus
• Work directly with a student, programming and calibrating their Accent eye gaze device, ensuring their communication needs are met
• Offer indirect consultation and support to the broader educational team, including training and technical assistance
• Maintain clear documentation of services, interventions, and progress
• Provide recommendations regarding optimal use of educational technology for the student’s needs
