Diet TechThe Diet Tech will support the Food Service Director in managing daily Dietary Department operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivery of safe, high-quality nutritional services. This role combines administrative duties with nutrition support to maintain efficient operations and accurate resident meal service.Job Responsibilities & Functions:Perform administrative tasks including data entry, recordkeeping, reporting, and general office supportManage phone calls and emails that come from nursing and dieticians in regards to diet changesMaintain resident diet orders, nutrition records, and meal service accuracyConduct meal rounds, assist with menu selections, and address resident concernsMonitor food quality, tray line accuracy, and ensure proper meal deliveryMaintain systems such as resident databases and tray ticket programsSupport inventory when neededEnsure compliance with sanitation, safety, and regulatory standardsAssist with other duties and tasks in the kitchen and with the dietary teamQualifications:Degree in Food & Nutrition or related field preferred, or 2–3 years of relevant experienceStrong organizational, communication, and technical skills (Microsoft Office proficiency required)Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respectful communicationPromote a clean, safe, and welcoming environmentOther Requirements:Serv Safe certified a plus.Be able to work in cooperation with other staff members.Have an understanding of, affection for, and a desire to work with the aging.This is a Full-Time (40 hours) hourly position, paying $18-$20/HR based at The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ. The successful candidate must be able to cover assigned shifts on a regular basis, including holidays, and should be available to cover vacations/call outs of other team members on occasion.The Actors Fund is a national human services organization that fosters stability and resiliency, and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan.
