Overnight Caregiver – Dementia Experience RequiredVillage Caregiving – Lafayette is looking for a dependable, compassionate Overnight Caregiver to join our team.Previous dementia care experience is required for this position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable providing overnight care and understands the patience, consistency, and redirection techniques that may be needed when caring for an individual living with dementia.ResponsibilitiesProvide attentive and compassionate overnight careAssist with personal care and activities of daily living as neededProvide supervision and ensure client safety throughout the nightAssist with toileting and mobility as neededProvide companionship, reassurance, and appropriate redirectionLight housekeeping related to the client’s careDocument care and communicate any changes or concerns to the officeMaintain a calm, safe, and comfortable environmentRequirementsPrevious dementia caregiving experience is requiredReliable and dependable, especially for scheduled overnight shiftsCompassionate, patient, and comfortable working independentlyAbility to assist with personal care and mobilityReliable transportationAbility to pass required background checks and meet all employment requirementsWhy Village Caregiving?At Village Caregiving, we believe great caregivers deserve to feel valued and supported.
