Help Desk Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Help Desk Specialist to support a company focused on mission-critical defense communications and operational support systems. This position is on-site in Denver, CO . The Help Desk Specialist will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for secure communication systems, ensuring continuous operational availability across a 24/7 environment. This is an opportunity to directly support national defense missions through critical technical support and problem resolution. Responsibilities for the Help Desk Specialist include: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for hardware, software, application, and network-related issues. Monitor and manage support requests through ticketing systems while ensuring timely incident resolution. Troubleshoot communication, connectivity, and system performance issues. Support mission readiness through system testing, operational monitoring, and lab environment support. Escalate complex issues, document resolutions, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications for the Help Desk Specialist include: 2+ years of experience in help desk, technical support, network operations, or systems administration environments. Experience supporting Windows operating systems, applications, and network infrastructure. Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, switching, and general troubleshooting methodologies. Strong communication, customer service, analytical, and documentation skills. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field preferred. Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
