Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and parking locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation; maintain professional communication with site personnel and members of the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
