Job Summary/Objective:

The Production Utility Technician serves as additional support for a variety of technical and quality functions across several departments at the discretion of the Production Manager(s). Task/direction may be project and/or product flow based in order to backfill team resources. Specific tasks will be dependent on the department assignment.

The primary job assignment for this position is Glass Machining Associate and the secondary is the Shipping and Receiving Associate, job descriptions for both roles are attached.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Flexibility and willingness to rotate to different job assignments as required
• Maintains required skills for assigned roles in assigned departments
• Ability to work in teams, communicate one-on-one or in a small group to support departmental goals
• Demonstrate range-of-motion, strength, and physical stamina needed to safely perform general work throughout the production facility with or without accommodations.
• May operate various machines and pieces of equipment as assigned
• Maintain traceability and product identity
• Ability to read and interpret information, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and complete required production documentation
• Maintain a safety focus at all times and wear proper PPE as required
• Be organized when helping to solve problems, supporting project teams, or instituting goals
• Be adaptable to ever-changing challenges
• Exhibit commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Communicate in a clear, effective and professional manner

Required Education, Experience, and Eligibility Qualifications:

• Excellent manual dexterity for handling and visually inspecting small parts
• Technical aptitude and mathematical inclination
• Ability to utilize computers for communication and logging data
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to maintain the physical cleanliness of the workspace
• Demonstrated computer and email proficiency
• Self-starter, detail oriented, independent worker
• Ability to follow processes, procedures and instructions

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Range $21.63/hour - $24.75/hour

Please note that the compensation offered to the selected candidate will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, education, and internal equity. As such, applicants should not expect to receive the maximum of the posted range.
