Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:
Provide gastroenterology services with approximately 12 patient encounters per shift
Perform upper GI endoscopy including biopsies, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeders
Conduct injection of varices and manage gastrointestinal bleeding
Perform ERCP procedures both diagnostic and therapeutic
Execute PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
Conduct small bowel biopsies as required
Perform lower GI endoscopy including sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
Conduct colonoscopy procedures with biopsy and polyp excision capabilities
Manage insertion and oversight of Sengstaken/Blakemore tubes
Must be board certified or board eligible with fellowship training required
BLS certification required
Must maintain active Kentucky medical license
Credentialing timeframe approximately 45 days
