Job Description

This position is for a CNC Machinist who will be working on Okuma CNC Mills and Okuma CNC Lathes. The role requires the ability to read blueprints or drawings, set up the machine, edit G Codes, and run parts for production. You will be responsible for operating and running the machines while performing quality checks with micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints along with work orders to gather proper materials.

• Set up and operate both CNC Mills and Lathes.

• Create programs from drawings and utilize Mastercam.

• Perform quality checks with analog micrometers and calipers.

• Edit programs using G Codes and Mastercam.

• Manage part runs ranging between 50 to 100 pieces.

Essential Skills

• At least 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist working on both mill and lathe machines.

• Experience in utilizing Mastercam to create programs.

• Ability to work from blueprints as well as verbal instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school graduate or trade school is preferred.

• Experience in a job shop environment with a variety of parts and low part runs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale Heights, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
