TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST

Air Reserve TechnicianThe primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) that manages the day-to-day Aerial Port Squadron activities and serves as a senior representative in lieu of the unit commander. Provides advice and guidance to Wing, Group, and outside organizational leadership. Provides knowledge and expertise to Numbered Air Force (NAF) and Higher Headquarters senior leaders. Performs, develops and oversees a variety of tasks ensuring reservists are properly trained and equipped to meet functional requirements. Provides development, training, and deployment of reserve personnel.DUTIES:Serves as a senior representative for Air Transportation structure, management, and day-to-day activities of the Aerial Port squadron.Represents the Air Transportation function with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.Manages organization readiness programs for assigned Unit Type Codes (UTCs), assists with planning for current and future taskings, and provides oversight of budget/financial issues.Exercises supervisory and/or personnel management responsibilities less than 25% of the time for one or two subordinate personnel.
